The Department of Agriculture RFO1 in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Bangar, La Union headed by Mayor Joy Pinzon Merin through the Office for Agricultural Services led by Regina M. Labiano successfully distributed the indemnification assistance amounting to P11,980,000.00 to the affected backyard raisers totaling to three hundred twenty-eight (328).

The first distribution was held at Bangar Covered court on September 23, 2021, the second was done at Bangar Mini-gym on October 26, 2021, while the third distribution was completed at DMMMSU Mid La Union campus on December 1, 2021.

The hog raisers received five thousand pesos (5000) per culled pig. This is on top of the assistance given by the Provincial Government of La Union and Local Government Unit of Bangar amounting two thousand pesos (2000).

With this, the recipients of the said assistance were thankful for all the government initiatives to aid and help them recover from the losses.
