LGU Bangar conducts Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) – Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Course

The Local Government Unit of Bangar, La Union headed by Mayor Joy Pinzon Merin through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office led by Ms. Ma. Victoria R. Mupas in partnership with Philippine Red Cross – La Union, San Fernando City Chapter conducted the first batch of Standard First Aid and BLS-CPR with AED training on September 21-24, 2021 held at the Municipal’s mini-gym.
In relation thereto, a total of twenty-five (25) first aiders have graduated from the said course composes of the Local Government Employees, Municipal and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, and Bureau of Fire Protection Personnel.
During the impression speech of Ms. Christy Rodriguez Boado, she mentioned that the training course was delivered with professionalism, knowledge, and expertise. She also reiterated that in times of uncertainty, all trained first aiders should do what must be done.
In addition, Ms. Ma. Victoria R. Mupas expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the Philippine Red Cross San Fernando City Chapter for their unparalleled commitment to serving all people and by continuously imparting their knowledge to everyone. Also, she’s hoping that two more batches from Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Personnel and Tourism Sector will undergo the same training before the year ends.
This training is indeed vital to protect and preserve life which is very timely and relevant amid pandemic.
