Centenanarian: ESPERANZA V. LADINES of Paratong 3

LOOK: Mayor Joy Pinzon Merin, together with SBM Vance Pinzon, SBM Faye Maena Makiling, Department Heads, and Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Officers, personally visited and awarded the Plaque of Recognition to the living centenarian from Barangay Paratong 3 of Bangar, La Union who turned one hundred (100) years old on July 10, 2022. Cheque amounting to One Hundred Thousand Pesos (100,000.00) was awarded to the centenarian Bangareña named ESPERANZA V. LADINES.
This is in support to the implementation of R.A. 10868, otherwise known as “The Centenarian Act of 2016”. The Provincial Government of La Union will also give cash incentive amounting to Ten Thousand Pesos (10,000.00) to the living centenarian in addition to the One Hundred Thousand Pesos (100,000.00) that will be given by the National Government through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The Municipal Government of Bangar headed by Mayor Joy P. Merin also localized and adopted the Centenarian Act of 2016 providing incentives/benefits for Senior Citizens who reach the age of one hundred (100) years old.
Furthermore, the Municipal Health Office also provided free medical check-up, vitamins and medicines to the living centenarian.
This is indeed a manifestation that the Municipal Government of Bangar, La Union really values and appreciates its people, especially its elderly.
